The AFX-105 X takes off at the push of a button on the handy 2.4GHz transmitter with LC display and metal sticks and hovers by itself to a certain base altitude. The model remains there (in altitude hold mode) and the model pilot can concentrate fully on the essential functions of the helicopter without having to pay attention to the flight altitude at the same time. The gyro system also controls the tail rotor and keeps the model stable in the air. For more agility in flight, the model has three speed levels, which are equally interesting for beginners and advanced pilots. Thus, the model is also suitable for outdoor use (in light wind) and reaches high speeds in forward flight. To land, the start/land button on the transmitter can be pressed again: the model sinks gently to the ground again.
The motor has soft start and soft cut. This means that during take-off the rotor turns slowly and thus prevents the model from spinning away on its own axis. The same applies during landing: the rotor slowly coasts to a stop and the motor is automatically switched off. As a further safety feature, the AFX-105 X has a voltage monitor that constantly checks the battery in flight. When the basic voltage is reached, the LED light in the helicopter starts flashing, signalling to land as soon as possible. If the pilot does not react, the system automatically takes over the landing to protect the battery.
Available as RTF version (Ready-to-Fly), the scope of delivery already includes everything needed to operate the helicopter – except for household batteries for the transmitter. With the LiPo battery 2S 7.4V 350mAh, flight times of up to 15 minutes are possible. Using the USB charging cable, the AFX-105 X is quickly ready to fly again after extensive manoeuvres.Functions:
