n January 2022, the World Rally Championship moved into the hybrid era and discovered the new “Rally1” cars that replaced the “World Rally Cars” introduced in 1997. Sébastien Loeb and Sébastien Ogier are at the start of the Monte-Carlo Rally, each driving a different Rally1. After a superb battle between “the two Sebs”, Loeb ended up winning the 2022 Monte Carlo Rally after his opponent got a puncture on the penultimate stage. This was his 8th victory on the “Monte-Carl’” with his first rally at the wheel of a Ford and for his first rally co-driven by Isabelle Galmiche! He also became the first winner of the hybrid era in the WRC, a historic moment in many ways!
